Following the enforcement of new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in 2018, there has been a considerable change in the way that organisations and employers store sensitive data, and this is not just constrained to storing digital information. Organisations must put the same care into securing paper files safely and securely. This will mean the implementation of secure, easy to access, space saving storage systems and the end of important information kept in desk drawers or written on post-it notes that are stuck on desks or computer monitors.
For most businesses, disruption must be taken into account for most installations, including storage solutions. Lengthy assembly can lead to disruption of the day to day running of a business or can even result in down time. Rotary storage cabinets, however, can be assembled in less than an hour, creating very little disruption.
Also consider the style of office storage you are looking for and how it can keep you active. Instead of having mismatched shelves with grab and go files, look for filing cabinets you can organise and label. Looking round for the right cabinet and pulling out the draw to flick through files shouldn’t take up too much working time, but it is good for keeping you on your feet and moving your body for a couple of minutes.
